GYMNICH TO OPEN THE SERIES OF INFORMAL MINISTERIAL MEETINGS

At the Gymnich meeting on 1-2 September in Lappeenranta, EU Foreign Ministers, High Representative Javier Solana and the Commissioners responsible for external relations will have an opportunity to discuss key international issues. The meeting will be chaired by Minister for Foreign Affairs Erkki Tuomioja.

MEDIA HOTELS AVAILABLE – REMEMBER TO QUOTE RESERVATION CODE FIN06 

Rooms for media representatives are still available in all meeting towns. Reservations should be made directly with hotels in the towns where meetings are to take place. Remember to quote reservation code FIN06 to be given a room from the media quota with a pre-negotiated price. Detailed hotel lists can be found at www.eu2006.fi.

Information is now available also on the media hotels for the informal meeting of Heads of State or Government on 20 October 2006. Information will also shortly be available on the informal meeting of Ministers of Defence on 2-3 October 2006.
