The main press conferences and public sessions of the Council are webcast on this site, and can be viewed live or from the archive. The webcasts are produced for the Presidency by the Presidency web team, the Presidency host broadcaster, YLE, and the Council of the European Union. Live and recorded interpretation for the webcasts is provided by European Commission’s Directorate-General for Interpretation (SCIC).
Software, such as the RealPlayer Program, that is able to play RealMedia files (.rm), is required to view webcasts. A free application for the program can be downloaded at www.real.com.
